Betsy Cottrell Schoolcraft, age 64, of Prestonsburg, wife of Floyd Raymond Schoolcraft, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center.


She was born March 27, 1948, in Prestonsburg, the daughter of the late Fred and Madelyn Boyd Cottrell. She was a secretary and member of the First United Methodist Church, in Prestonsburg.


In addition to her husband, Floyd, Betsy is survived by two sons, Richie Schoolcraft and Lee (Angela) Schoolcraft, both of Prestonsburg; a daughter, Madelyn (Bryan) Allen, of Prestonsburg; a brother, Fred Cottrell Jr., of Prestonsburg; a sister, Carolyn DelBello, of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Christopher Schoolcraft, Marley Allen and Brady Allen.


Funeral services for Betsy Schoolcraft will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at the First United Methodist Church, in Prestonsburg, with James Adams and Jerry Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery, in Prestonsburg.


Hall Funeral Home, of Martin, is in charge of arrangements.
