The Floyd County Chamber announced this week that Kathy King Allen has accepted the position of Executive Director. Kathy has worked extensively in the past in management, public relations, and sales.
Allen earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.
“The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce has a long history of service to our county and I am very excited to being working with local businesses to promote commerce in the community.”
Allen will continue working a part-time sales position with Hi-Tech Signs and Graphix in Prestonsurg, where she is a promotional specialist, in addition to being executive director. The position of executive director is a part time position.
The part-time sales job mentioned in the release is with Hi-Tech Signs & Graphix (in Prestonsburg). Her title is Promotions Specialist and she takes care of the promotional sales at that business. The Executive Director job at the Floyd County Chamber is also part-time.
Kathy and her husband Robert, along with their two sons, live in Prestonsburg.
The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce office is currently located in the old Floyd County Courthouse annex building.
