LEXINGTON - University of Kentucky standout Archie Goodwin has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week as well as Dick Vitale’s Diaper Dandy of the Week after averaging 25.0 points 7.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists in wins over Morehead State and LIU Brooklyn.
Goodwin logged a career-high 28 points in a win over Morehead State to begin the week. He then followed that performance by nearly charting the second triple-double in school history. He posted a team-high 22 points to accompany career-highs in assists (9) and rebounds (9) against LIU Brooklyn.
The SEC weekly honor is the first in Goodwin’s career and the third for UK this season.
