Arm Drop Drags releases rules for May event

PRESTONSBURG - Rules have been released for the 2013 Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags. New classes have been added for the latest edition of the Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags, which is set for May 10-11.


“After bracket racing, we’ll still run grudge races,” Pop’s Chevrolet Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags Event Coordinator Kent Rose said. “Grudge racing has been a big hit and we’re all about racing.”


Here’s a look at the classes and rules.


Outlaw: Anything With Doors/Anything Goes/Slicks/Tubes/Big Tires/If You Can Bring It - You Can Run It.


Drag Radial Cage: Must Have Cage/No Limit/No Cheater Slicks/No Slicks/No ET Streets/No All-Wheel Drive/No Bias Ply.


Drag Radial No Cage: No Limit/No Cage or Bars Inside Car/No Cheater Slicks/No Slicks/No ET Streets/No All-Wheel Drive/No Bias Ply.


Street Tires: No Drag Radials/No Slicks/No ET Streets/No Auto Cross/No Dirt Track/No Off-Road/No Bias Ply/No All-Wheel Drive.


All-Wheel Drive: No Drag Radials/No Slicks/No ET Streets/No Auto Cross/No Dirt Track/No Off-Road/No Bias Ply.


Front-Wheel Drive: No Drag Radials/No Slicks/No ET Streets/No Auto Cross/No Dirt Track/No Off-Road/No Bias Ply/No All-Wheel Drive.


Grocery Getter: Class for Novice Racers/Tech Will Be Determined If Your Car Fits This Class/Street Tires Only/No All-Wheel Drive/No Drag Radials/No Slicks/No ET Streets/No Bias Ply.


Door cars only and all tech decisions are final.


Tires will be checked every round in the staging lane. If an infraction is found, you will be disqualified.
