Jimmy Dwayne Skeens, 41, of Weeksbury, died Saturday March 30, 2013, in Melvin.
He was born July 20, 1971 to Ralph Skeens of Melvin and Ruby Hall Moore of Price. He is survived by his wife Jamie Tuttle Skeens. Jimmy worked as a painter.
He was preceded in death by his step-father: Edward Niedzielski.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jimmy Dwayne (Kaitlyn) Skeens of Jenkins, Vanessa Marie (Ashley) Skeens of McDowell, Ashley Lynn (Coty) Hall of Teaberry, Dylan Johnson and Daulton Johnson both of Weeksbury; step father: Carl Moore of Price; one brother: Jason Skeens of La Grange; two sisters: Ella Hall of Melvin, and Veronica Cicchettis of Melvin; step brother: Mark Moore of McDowell; step sister: Mary Sue Meade of Minnie; two grandchildren: Aryonnah Leighann Hal and Channing J.D. Skeens and a hose of nieces, nephews and a great niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 4, 2013 noon at Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church in Melvin. Visitation will be held all day Wednesday, at the church.
Burial will follow the service at Skeens Cemetery in Melvin.
Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, is in charge of arrangements.
