PRESTONSBURG - The Highest Level Football Camp featuring current Green Bay Packers linebacker, former Kentucky Mr. Football, High School All-American, No. 1 High School Linebacker in the United States and All-SEC Freshman Team and First Team All-SEC honoree Micah Johnson will be held at Prestonsburg High School on Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The youth football camp is for players ages 6-18.
As a high school senior, Micah Johnson was rated as the nation’s top linebacker. He was named Kentucky Mr. Football, made the All-SEC Freshman Team and earned First Team All-SEC honors at the University of Kentucky before playing for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. As a rookie, Johnson made the Miami Dolphins’ roster. After a stint with the Cincinnati Bengals, Johnson is currently playing for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers.
Cost of the camp is $65 and includes lunch, a T-shirt and certificate. Campers will be grouped according to ages and have an opportunity to compete for awards in various competitions.
Last year’s awards included an authentic game-used University of Kentucky football helmet, NFL game-used cleats and new team-issued apparel, as well as medals and plaques. Awards will be similar for this year’s camp.
Football fundamentals will be covered throughout the camp, which will also feature additional staff and guest speakers.
In addition to Johnson, former NFL player and University of Kentucky teammate Johnny Williams will also provide instruction throughout the camp.
Pre-registration for the camp is encouraged. For more information on the camp, call 606-339-5948 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
