Donnie Ray Wright, 73, of Whitesburg, husband of Debbie Looney Wright, died June 17, 2013, at Greg and Noreen Wells Hopice Center, in Whitesburg.

Born Oct. 7, 1939, in Pike County, to the late Elijah Wright and Tishie Quillen Wright, he was a disabled inspector for General Motors, in Michigan, and a member of the Light House Church, at Colson.

He is survived by Justin Wright, of Seco, Brande (Randall Jr.) Scott, of Pikeville, and April (Quis) Wright, of Georgia; a sister, Mary Brown, of Jenkins; and grandchildren, Alanna, Austen, Makeilah, Landon, Maleik, Amani, Amauri and Mackiah.

He was preceded in death by a son, Elijah Joseph Wright; a daughter, Tisha Mary Wright; brothers, Arlin Wright, Alvin Wright, Oscar Wright, Aster Wright, Hermon Wright and Charlie Wright; sisters, Floria Rose, Alma Esters and Bessie Stewart; three infant sisters, Callie, Ada Marie and Barbara; and a granddaughter, Maya Arie Ratchford.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 20, at the Light House Church, 6257 Hwy. 931 N, in Whitesburg, with Bobby Pike, Jimmy Cook and Glenn Cross officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery, at Seco.

Visitation will take place after 6 p.m., Tuesday, at the church.
