Dr. Linda-Dalal Shiber, a 2001 Paintsville High School graduate, recently received her degree in obstetrics and gynecology after completing a four-year residency at MetroHealth Medical Center & Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is the 2013 recipient of the Cleveland Maternal Fetal Medicine Society Award and second-place winner of the 2013 Cleveland Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists’ Resident Research Award for her research on Venereal Disease Research Laboratory testing during pregnancy.
Among Shiber’s other accolades are the 2012-13 MetroHealth/Cleveland Clinic Excellence Awards in Research and Community Service in OB/GYN, the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Special Resident in Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Shiber returns to Kentucky this month to take up a two-year fellowship in laparoscopic surgery and robotics at the University of Louisville, where she earned her medical degree in 2009. She is the daughter of John and Elaine Shiber, of Van Lear.
