JWT to present ‘Legend of Jenny Wiley’ at MAC

September 6, 2013

“The Legend of Jenny Wiley” is coming to the Mountain Arts Center in October for a rare indoor performance.

This true story relates the tragedies and the ultimate triumph of the heroic 18th century pioneer woman, Jenny Wiley. Kidnapped and held captive by Indians for nearly a year, Jenny’s faith affords her the bravery and determination to escape brutality and the strength to rebuild her life.

“The Legend of Jenny Wiley” sensitively portrays the struggles of both the early pioneers and the American Indians. The production features a score by Scott F. Bradley and lyrics by Peyton Dixon.

Tickets at the door are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $12 for youth. The show is rated PG. Tickets are available by calling Jenny Wiley Theatre at 877-CALL-JWT.
