Lady Blackcats shut out Sheldon Clark

INEZ - The Prestonsburg girls’ soccer team posted its sixth win on Monday evening, blanking host Sheldon Clark 5-0 in a 57th District match.


Jackie Kidd led the Prestonsburg offense with three goals. Hannah Little and Katie Porter added one goal apiece for the Lady Blackcats in the victory.


Porter and Carly Burchett each had an assist for the Prestonsburg girls’ soccer team.


Defensively, Prestonsburg goalkeeper Maddy Ousley held host Sheldon Clark scoreless.


Prestonsburg was hosting Paintsville on Tuesday evening. The Prestonsburg-Paintsville girls’ soccer game ended too late to make this edition.


The Lady Blackcats have additional regular-season games remaining with Hazard, Menifee County, Lawrence County, Belfry, Shelby Valley, Paintsville, Johnson Central, Sheldon Clark and Pikevile.


Prestonsburg 8, Perry County Central 3: Prestonsburg pulled away to beat visiting Perry County Central 8-3 on Thursday.


Jackie Kidd paced the Prestonsburg offensive effort with four goals. Kidd also delivered one assist for the Lady Blackcats.


Katie Porter contributed two goals and two assists for the Prestonsburg girls’ soccer team. Carly Burchett chipped in two goals and one assist for the Lady Blackcats.


McKenzie Collins aided the Prestonsburg attack with an assist.


Prestonsburg goalkeeper Maddy Ousley limited Perry County Central to three goals.
