RICHMOND — An investigation is continuing, after a Prestonsburg High School graduate was found dead in his dorm room at Eastern Kentucky University last weekend.

EKU officials have not released a cause of death, but have ordered a toxicology test after Benji Fish, 24, a senior environmental health science major from Prestonsburg, was found dead late Sunday night in his Telford Hall residence hall room at the university.

EKU campus police say that no foul play is suspected, and are working with the Madison County Coroner’s Office on the ongoing investigation. A final toxicology report is anticipated in two weeks.

Fish was a 2007 graduate of Prestonsburg High School, a former Blackcat football player, a member of Lamda Chi Alpha at Eastern Kentucky University, and a member of the Prestonsburg Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at the Prestonsburg Church of Christ with Rick Kelly officiating. Burial will follow the service at Gethsemane Gardens in Prestonsburg.
