PRESTONSBURG - The Prestonsburg girls’ soccer team posted back-to-back wins late last week, defeating Pikeville and Menifee County. More on the girls’ soccer games follows.


Prestonsburg 4, Pikeville 2: Prestonsburg doubled up Pikeville on Thursday, winning 4-2 at StoneCrest Park.


Katie Porter paced Prestonsburg with two goals. Jackie Kidd and Jordan Carroll delivered one goal apiece for the Lady Blackcats, who improved to 12-4-0 after claiming the win.


Kidd and Hannah Little had one assist apiece for the Lady Blackcats.


Veteran Prestonsburg goalkeeper Maddy Ousley turned in a solid defensive performance as she held 15th Region foe Pikeville to two goals.


Prestonsburg 6, Menifee County 1: The Prestonsburg Lady Blackcats claimed their third straight win on Saturday, defeating visiting Menifee County 6-1.


Host Prestonsburg excelled throughout the contest.


Katie Porter paced Prestonsburg with three goals and three assists. Jackie Kidd followed with two goals and one assist for the Lady Blackcats.


Carly Burchett contributed one goal and one assist for Prestonsburg, which improved to 13-4-0.


Prestonsburg goalkeeper Maddy Ousley limited Menifee County to only one goal.
