Police seek help in catching bank robbers

VIRGIE — Police are seeking the public’s help in apprehending a pair of bank robbers who struck Wednesday.

Kentucky State Police received a 911 call around 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, reporting an armed robbery at US Bank.

Police responding to the scene learned that a man wearing tan pants, a dark jacket, a blue bandana and a white cap entered the bank, pointed a gun at tellers and demanded money. After receiving the money, he then left.

Outside, the robber’s getaway driver was waiting on a green Honda Foreman all-terrain vehicle. The two men fled on the four-wheeler.

The driver was repoted to be wearing tan coveralls, a hoodie, a tan tobaggan and gloves.
