PRESTONSBURG - Kent Rose built it and they came. And now, they’re coming back.

Rose and his Arm Drop Nation will converge upon Combs Airport in Hager Hill for the Appalachian Wireless Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags’ next event, Eastern Kentucky vs. The World, Friday, Aug. 1-Saturday, Aug. 2.

Neal James from Call of the Wildman, former WWF World Tag Team Champion Brian Knobbs of the Nasty Boys and the Good Ol’ Boys - John Thomas Combs and Trampus King - will all make appearances during the upcoming Appalachian Wireless-sponsored event.

“We’d like to invite everyone out to the Appalachian Wireless Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags,” Rose said. “This is a family-oriented event. There’s truly something for everyone. I’d also like to remind everyone that I conduct our business with the Ten Commandments on one side and the Pledge of Allegiance on the other. The Arm Drop Nation is a drug-free nation.”

“I’ve heard it’s one of the biggest events in the state of Kentucky,” Knobbs said. “I love drag racing and I can’t wait to get there. I love the state of Kentucky and the fans. They still love the Nasty Boys in Kentucky.

“And when the nasty boy is in town, you never know what’s going to happen, so I’d like to invite everyone down.”

Knobbs and partner Jerry Saggs won the WWF Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania VII. Since then, he has appeared in multiple reality TV shows.

Drag racers will have an opportunity to compete in eight different classes during the Eastern Kentucky vs. The World event.

A Honda Foreman 500 and a CRF50 from Honda of Prestonsburg will also be given away during Appalachian Wireless Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags’ next event.
