Vannie M. Rickman, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Prestonsburg, widow of George Rickman, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio.

Born May 14, 1923, in Floyd County, to the late George and Margaret Hunt Lewis, she was a retired factory worker for Norse Industries.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence Wesley Goble, of Harrison County, and Jeffrey Neil Rickman, of Pickerington, Ohio; two daughters, Lorine Caldwell, of Mt. Olivet, and Kathryn Dunt, of Canal Winchester, Ohio; a sister, Mary Wright, of Warsaw, Ind.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Rickman; four brothers, Harold, Mack, Joe Wheeler and Randolph Lewis; and four sisters, Myrtle Kinsley, Callie Lewis, Amma Jackson and Bonnie Spears.

Funeral services for Vannie M. Rickman will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Doug Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.

Visitation will take place after 6 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
