PRESTONSBURG — A Floyd County woman was arrested last week, after a complaint issued by her employer alleged she stole more than $10,000.

According to a complaint filed in Floyd County District Court, Donetta Mullins, 28, of Wayland, was arrested Sunday Nov. 11, and charged with theft by unlawful taking, after her employer, DBA Fuels, accused her of stealing more than $10,000 over a period of 10 months.

In the complaint, Nonnie Hensley, with DBA Fuels, alleged that from Jan. 1 to Oct. 29, “The defendant, Donetta Mullins, committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking, over $10,000, when she stole approximately $11,000 from deposits in the ATM machines from the company belonging to the victim.”

Mullins was lodged in Floyd County Detention Center before earning her release with a $5,000 cash bond payment.

A complaint is not an indication of guilt. Those accused of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
