PIKEVILLE — Two inmates at U.S. Penitentiary Big Sandy now face additional time in prison, after being indicted on escape charges.

Antonio Karon Ward and Tarell Scott, who also reportedly uses the alias Amsu Walton, were each charged in separate indictments handed down Nov. 15. Both men are scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court for arraignment Dec. 3.

According to the indictments, Ward escaped custody Aug. 19, while Scott escaped Aug. 23.

If convicted, each man faces an additional five years in prison, along with up to $250,000 in fines.

U.S. District Judge Amul R. Thapar has been assigned to preside over both cases.
