Carroll named KIAC Player of the Week

BEREA – Asbury University senior Laura Carroll was named the KIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week by KIAC officials on Monday. Carroll, a guard out of Paintsville High School, owns the distinction of being one of the top women’s basketball players in Asbury University history

In Asbury’s only contest last week, Carroll recorded 27 points, four rebounds and three assists in a 107-87 loss to 24th-ranked Union College. The senior guard currently ranks sixth in NAIA Division II in free throw percentage (93.9) and 17th in points per game (18.857).

Asbury University is currently 6-3 overall. The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday when they host Hiwassee College.
