Eagles roll past Kentucky Christian

GRAYSON - The Alice Lloyd College men’s basketball team exploded for 58 first half points and cruised past host Kentucky Christian University 98-61 Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles dominated in the opening half. Alice Lloyd managed to double Kentucky Christian up, carrying a 58-29 lead into halftime.

In the second half, ALC refused to allow KCU any chance of a comeback as it outscored its host 40-32 to increase their lead to 37 by the final buzzer.

For the game, ALC connected on 61.3 percent of its shots from the floor (38-62), including six-of-16 attempts from 3-point range. Kentucky Christian, however, shot just 30 percent (21-70) from the field and only four-of-26 from 3-point range.

For the Eagles (6-5), junior guard Isaac Wilson led all scorers with 21 points. He also added a game-high four assists and contributed four rebounds.

Sophomore Tyler Rogers hit seven-of-eight shots from the floor to add 15 points for Alice Lloyd in the triumph. Stuart Stamper chipped in 11 for the Eagles.

Clay McKinzie paced the Knights (2-8) with 16 points.
