Workshop to help owners tackle business finances

PIKEVILLE — An upcoming seminar will help business owners and entreprenuers get a handle on many of the financial aspects of operating a business.

“Creating Financial Projections for Planning, Financing and Goal Setting” is a free seminar to be presented by Morehead State University’s East Kentucky Small Business Development Center Tuesday, Jan. 15. The seminar is for present and prospective small business owners.

The event will be conducted at the Big Sandy Community and Technical College, 120 S. Riverfill Drive from 5-7 p.m. The presenter will be Mike Morley, director of the MSU East Kentucky Small Business Development Center.

Topics to be discussed will include creating projected income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets.
