Daniel L. Goble, 86, of Athens, Tenn., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Athens Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Prestonsburg on Jan. 28, 1926, a son of the late Henry Lafayette (H.L.) Goble and Erma Huff Goble.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was an electrician by trade.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Carey Goble; three daughters, Dari McLaughlin, of Furlong, Penn., Elizabeth (Richard) Jenkins, of Oakton, Va., and Kerri Leslie, of Athens Ga.; six grandchildren, Kevin McLaughlin, Spencer Jenkins, Griffin Jenkins, Rachel Leslie, Casey Leslie and Alex Leslie; and a brother, James E. Goble, of Prestonsburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Goble and Charles A. Goble, and two sisters, Louise E. Goble and Alice Goble Baldridge.
