Connie Marie Scott, 76, of Wayland, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at UK Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 14, 1936, in Martin, to the late Oscar Mosley and Melda Triplett Messer. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Kentucky Teachers Association.
She is survived by a son, Terry Scott, of Wayland; a brother, Oscar Mosley, of Minnie; and five sisters, Billie Fultz, of Martin, Helen Jones, of Louisiana, Jackie Cleveland, of Alabama, and Freda Castle and Shirley Hall, both of Minnie.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, with Jimmy Hall and others officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens in Prestonsburg.
