Wilda R. Smith, age 95, of Tram, widow of Jim Lee Smith, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 25, 1917, at Dana, a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Rebecca Boyd Meade. She was a member of the Church of Christ for at least 75 years.

She is survived by four sons, Carter Smith, of Teaberry, Nathan Smith, of Ypsilanti, Mich., Dennis Smith, of Brownstown, Mich., and Verlin Smith, of Tram; four daughters, Osiephine Coleman, of Tram, Anna Akers, of Hurricaine, Era Cole, of Robinson Creek, and Vernetta Smith, of Tram; 30 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Franklin Smith, and two daughters, Margie Bentley and Arzetta Brown.

Funeral service were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Tommy Bush, Elmer Keathley and Phillip Keathley officiating. Burial followed in the Lice Kidd Cemetery, at the Left Hand Fork of Boyd Branch, Dana.
