PAINTSVILLE - Paintsville High School senior Karissa Boyd signed with the University of Pikeville women’s soccer program during a ceremony held Friday. Boyd helped to lead Paintsville a 9-7 record during her senior season.
The University of Pikeville women’s soccer team is under the direction of Gary Warford. Earlier in the schoolyear, Warford wrapped up his second season as head coach of the UPIKE women’s soccer team.
Pikeville competes in the Mid-South Conference, along with Bluefield, Campbellsville, Cumberland, Cumberlands, Georgetown, Lindsey Wilson, Rio Grande, Shawnee State and St. Catharine.
