Joey L. Griffith, 42, of David, died Jan. 28, 2013, in Floyd County.
Born March 3, 1970, to Carlos Vernon “Truman” and Goldie Arnett Griffith, he was a disabled end loader operator for coal mines and a member of the Garrett Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Amber LaShe Carroll and Kristen Griffith, both of Prestonsburg; two brothers, Carlos Randall Griffith and Keith Douglas Griffith, both of David; and four grandchildren, Tyson “Max,” Drake, Chloe and Paisley.
Funeral services for Joey L. Griffith will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Malcolm Slone officiating. Burial will follow in the Shepherd Cemetery, at David.
