Brenda Joyce Gunnell, age 69 of Garrett, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born April 20, 1943, at Dwarf, a daughter of the late Isaac Gunnell and Martha Chaffins Gunnell Gibson. She was a former employee of the St. Joseph Hospital, in Martin.

Brenda is survived by a daughter, Lisa Anne Tussey, of Garrett; two brothers, Foley Gunnell and Stephen Gunnell, of Garrett; a step-sister, Marlene Gibson Hall, of Pippa Passes; and a granddaughter, Michaela Lenzie Tussey.

Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Gunnell will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin. Burial will follow in the Chaffins Cemetery, at Garrett.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 10 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
