Russell Mont Frazier age 69, of Betsy Layne, husband of Mary Lee Branham Frazier, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009, at the Central Baptist Hospital, in Lexington.
He was born May 8, 1940, in Banner, the son of Mary Susan Hall Frazier of Banner, and the late Russell Frazier. He was a teacher at several schools, and principal at Betsy Layne High School from 1973 to 1985; an assistant superintendent for the Floyd County School System from 1985 to 1990; and a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include his wife, his mother; two sons: Monty Frazier of Banner, and Barry Frazier and his wife, Amy, of Morganton; two stepdaughters: Belinda Castle of Lexington, and Christi Reynolds and her husband, Chris, of Lexington; a brother, Earsel Frazier and his wife, Barbara, of Dwale; a sister, Sally Flannery of Raceland; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Frazier will be conducted Thursday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Clergyman Dennis Love officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery, in Allen, with the Hall Funeral Home, caring for those arrangements.
Visitation is from 6 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Hall Funeral Home.
