Four quality new releases headed to renters

A quartet of high-caliber releases will make rainouts easier to handle during the upcoming week as baseball season surges on.

THE FOUNDER – The true story of America’s most popular restaurant franchise. Michael Keaton stars as Ray Kroc, a salesman who sees the potential for big bucks when he visits a small burger palace run by the MacDonald Brothers. He helps them build expand their single eatery into a multimillion dollar chain before taking it out from under them. A fine cast includes Linda Cardelini, Nick Offerman, John Carroll Lynch and Patrick Wilson.

SPLIT – A young man suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder goes off the rails and kidnaps three young woman in this thriller form M. Night Shamalan(The Sixth Sense). This is a field day for James McAvoy as the lead character(s). He gets to emote 23 different personalities which are all distinct until a new one emerges who may bring down the walls between the distinct people living in his head.

TEEN TITANS: THE JUDAS CONTRACT – One of the most popular story arcs from DC Comics’ team of underage heroes is adapted here. The story finds the villainous Deathstroke trying to bring down the team by placing a mole with super powers into the group. Will she turn on them after earning their trust? A superb voice cast includes the late Miguel Ferrer as Deathstroke alongside Christina Ricci, Greg Henry and Meg Foster.

HAWAII FIVE-O: THE COMPLETE SERIES – Steve McGarrett and his squad of top cops take on the most heinous crimes in the 50th state. This popular and gritty crime drama ran for twelve seasons on CBS and was a consistent Top Ten winner in the Nielsen Ratings. The cats was led by Jack Lord as McGarret who was aided by Danno Williams(James MacArthur), Chin-Ho Kelley (Kam Fong), and the imposing Kono(Zulu). Scenic locations and violent storylines made this one a nail biter.
