PRESTONSBURG – The Bluegrass Extravaganza is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Mountain Arts Center. The upcoming show will feature 5-time IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out as well as Dove Award Winner Nathan Stanley with the Clinch Mountain Boys.

The “Prince of Bluegrass Music” Nathan Stanley is the grandson of Dr. Ralph Stanley.

“I’m very proud of my grandson Nathan,” Dr. Ralph Stanley said. “He is a wonderful entertainer and a mighty fine singer. I know as long as he is around my music will never die.”

Whoever purchases a copy of the new CD by Dr. Ralph Stanley & Nathan Stanley will receive a chance to win a free autographed guitar the night of the concert.

Jeff Bates, who performed during the Jenny Wiley Festival earlier in the month, also complimented Nathan Stanley.

“When Nathan Stanley sings I can’t help but stop and listen to the old soul behind the young pure voice,” Bates said.

Admission for the show is $26 in advance and $31 day of show.
