Staff Report

PHELPS – Jamie A. Slone joined Presbyterian Homes and Services of Kentucky as Executive Director of Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center in July.

With a background in Pastoral Ministry, Slone began his journey in long term care in 2012 as a Chaplain and transitioned to Administration in 2014. He is a licensed pastor in the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Combining these seemingly disparate careers has been an enriching experience.

Resident care is a priority for Slone as he is always seeking more effective approaches to create a homelike environment for residents and their families. Equally important, Slone believes in providing staff members the opportunity to grow and advance. Slone also believes everyone deserves respect and works to emphasize this aspect of his beliefs.

Slone holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree from United Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Greta, have two children, Kenidee and Samuel.
