Driver of car charged with DUI after hitting bus

DANA – After colliding with a Floyd County school bus carrying 42 children in Dana around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Anthony Kiser, 38, was charged with DUI.

Kiser was behind the wheel of a Toyota 4Runner Kentucky State Police believe crossed the center line and slammed into the Floyd County school bus.

No one involved in the crash suffered serious injuries. However, at least one of the 42 children on board the bus went to the hospital with minor cuts, police confirmed.

The bus driver was not hurt and both the bus and 4Runner were both towed away after the collision.

In addition to DUI, Kiser also faces a wanton endangerment charge and several other charges.

Following his arrest, police transported Kiser to the Floyd County Jail.
