MARTIN — Area residents are urged to get ready to lace up their sneakers and take a walk with a doctor. Saint Joseph Martin, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host a Walk with a Doc event on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. at the Walking Track at Martin Ball Field.
The event will be led by Angela O’Quinn, DO, with Kentucky One Health, Saint Joseph Martin. Dr. O’Quinn will discuss the importance of vaccines. Walk participants will have the opportunity to talk with Dr. O’Quinn and ask questions in a relaxed environment.
Walking has many health benefits and is known to body fat, lower blood pressure, improve respiratory function and more. It is also associated with lower mortality rates from cardiovascular disease and cancer.
All are welcome and participants are encouraged to invite family and friends to walk together toward a healthier lifestyle. There is no registration required.
Saint Joseph Martin Walk With a Doc events are part of a nationwide program that empowers people to improve their health through physical activity while they exercise side-by-side with their health care providers.
