PRESTONSBURG – Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) will hold Patriot Day ceremonies on three of its campuses on Thursday.

The Prestonsburg campus ceremony, which will begin at 11 a.m., will feature keynote speaker Dr. Nancy Johnson, provost at BSCTC. Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of BSCTC, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Pikeville campus ceremony. Both ceremonies will be held at the flag pole at each campus. The Mayo campus will hold its ceremony at 10 a.m. in the Mayo Auditorium.

“The attacks of September 11 were devastating, but through that tragedy came a sense of triumph that swept across the nation,” said Dr. Stephenson. “This is a time of reflection and a time for us to remember those who lost their life that day.”

With campuses in Prestonsburg, Paintsville, Hager Hill and Pikeville, BSCTC offers 27 programs and more than 200 credentials with an emphasis on innovation in learning and student access, transfer and success.
