PRESTONSBURG – Area residents are invited to be life-savers at the upcoming Kentucky Blood Center blood drive set to be held at Highlands Regional Medical Center. The blood drive will be held at HRMC on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Conference Room.
Donors will receive a non-fasting cholesterol test. Results will be posted within five days after the blood drive at kybloodcenter.org.
Blood donors must be 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
