MOREHEAD – Morehead State University’s East Kentucky Small Business Development Center will host “How to Do Business with the Government,” Tuesday, June 16, from 1-3 p.m. at the Pikeville campus of Big Sandy Technical and Community College, Room 123A, located at 120 S. Riverfill Drive.
Seeking new avenues to grow your business? One option to consider is government contracts. Doing business with your local, state, or federal government can provide a reliable revenue stream, if you’re persistent and plan properly.
In this two hour session, you’ll learn the basics about government contracting and determine if they are right for your business. Seminar presenter will be Dee Dee Harburt, Kentucky Procurement Technical Assistant Center program director.
This session is designed for businesses that have been in business for two or more years; have past performance in the commercial market; have financial resources to support government contracts, have the desire to sell to the government, have access to the internet and have an email address.
The workshop is free for all participants; however, seating is limited and advance registration is required.
Training programs, sponsored or co-sponsored by SBDC, are available to all individuals without regard to race, color, sex, creed or national origin. Special arrangements will be made for those with disabilities if requested in advance.
