KSP investigates Pike County robbery

JUSTICEVILLE – In the early morning hours of Wednesday, Post 9 Pikeville received a 911 call of an armed robbery at the Double Kwik convenience store located in the Justiceville community of Pike County. Troopers responded to the scene and determined that an unknown subject entered the convenience store brandishing a firearm, and demanding money. The subject had the clerk retrieve an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The initial investigation at the scene indicates that the subject was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored sweatpants, and face covered. No injuries occurred as a result of the robbery.

The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information relating to this case. Anyone with information relating to the case can call the Kentucky State Police Post 9 at (606) 433-7711. Callers can remain anonymous.

This incident remains under investigation by KSP Trooper Ryan Hamilton.
