Three charged in drug sting

PRESTONSBURG – Three people were charged with drug trafficking last week after an undercover sting by Prestonsburg Police.

According to police records, Jeremy Joseph, 33, of Oil Springs, and Terry Daniels, 39, of Prestonsburg, and also were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance in the third-degree.

The report indicates that on November 10, Prestonsburg police set up a “controlled buy” in the parking lot of Dairy Queen. During the bust, officers recovered approximately eight suboxone strips.

A preliminary hearing was held on Monday of this week. During that hearing, probable cause was found to remand the case over for grand jury inquiry.

Jeremy Joseph is also charged with illegal possession of a legend drug.

All three are currently being lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
