PRESTONSBURG – A Floyd county man is behind bars after witnesses say he crashed through their yard in his truck while intoxicated.

According to a complaint warrant issued in Floyd County on Saturday December 5, 2015; Anthony Lange, 19, of McDowell, was arrested after he allegedly was intoxicated when he crashed his truck through a fence, into the victims yard, and hit their porch.

The report states that “the defendant (Lange) was trying to get away so the victims’s family member took his keys.” Lange then reportedly entered the home of the victim without permission while trying to recover his keys, and smashed a cell phone.

The estimated damages caused by the destruction was reported to be between $4000 and $5000. Lange was arrested for DUI, but was later charged with first-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree criminal trespassing.

He was lodged in Floyd County Detention Center. On Monday December 7, he was arraigned in Floyd County District Court. His bond was set at $1000 cash. His next hearing is scheduled for December 14, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
