PRESTONSBURG – A local restaurant employee’s Christmas got a little brighter Thursday when she was presented with her award for the customer Service Appreciation.

Savannah McIntyre was all smiles Thursday at the Prestonsburg KFC when several dignitaries from the ownership group arrived in a stretched limousine to present her with a Christmas bonus of $500 for her superb customer service.

Kelly Wechsler, Market Coach for KFC, said that the ownership group normally does one of these contests every week for $50. “For Christmas, we wanted to help people our tremendously,” said Wechsler. She says the friendly competition encourages employees to have fun in their job, and provide the very best service to the customers.

The contest operates through customers calling in, and mentioning her name, after a successful purchase. Savannah received more calls than any other employee in the sixteen store ownership group.

Savannah said that the money would be extremely beneficial as she had recently given birth to a new baby.
