KSP/CVE Region 6 welcomes new sergeant

PIKEVILLE – Kentucky State Police/Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Region 6, Pikeville, has a new sergeant. On Monday, February 1, Larry Farris was promoted from officer to sergeant. His first assignment is Region 6 in Pikeville.

Farris transferred from Region 5, Morehead, and is originally from Maysville. He brings with him 16 years of experience that includes six years with the Maysville Police Department, not as only an officer but an accident reconstructionist and field training officer and 10 years with CVE as the public affairs officer, field training officer, and now sergeant.

Farris will be serving the following counties within Region 6: Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Martin, Magoffin, Perry, Letcher, Leslie, Breathitt and Knott.

Region 6 Pikeville is eager to introduce the new Sergeant to the communities he will serve.
