KSP investigating robbery in Pike County

PIKEVILLE – Kentucky State Police is investigating a robbery in Pike County In the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 24, 2016, Post 9 Pikeville received a 911 call of a robbery at the Belfry 7-Eleven in Pike County.

Troopers responded to the scene and determined that an unknown male entered the business. He threatened the clerk with a weapon, and demanded money. The clerk retrieved an undisclosed amount of cash, and gave it to the male before he fled the service station on foot.

The male was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a black mask covering his face.

The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information relating to this case. Anyone with information relating to the case can call the Kentucky State Police Post 09 at (606) 433-7711. Callers can remain anonymous.

KSP Trooper Jason McLellan is conducting an ongoing investigation.
