On Thursday, Senator Johnny Ray Turner (left), D-Prestonsburg, honored Fred James on the floor of the Kentucky State Senate for being the recipient of the Mangeot-Oaken Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Kentucky Travel Industry Association. While James was on the floor, the Senate adopt Senate Citation 34 sponsored by Turner, honoring him for his achievements.
