During the 2014-2015 schoolyear, McDonald’s of the Tri-State area has worked with several schools through both programs to reach a donation total of $34,167.
McDonald’s McTeacher’s Nights are a fundraising program to allow school personnel to work at a local McDonald’s location and receive a percentage of the profits. During a McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser, teachers and staff from each school work in the restaurant as order takers, drive-thru presenters, lobby greeters and more. McDonald’s employees were also there to assist school personnel.
The Balanced, Active Lifestyles Program awards $500 grants to schools who can demonstrate an original approach to enhancing their students’ physical fitness, nutrition awareness and health education. McDonald’s of the Tri-State awarded twenty-five $500 Balanced, Active Lifestyles Grants to schools in southeastern Ohio, Eastern Kentucky and central West Virginia.
McDonald’s of the Tri-State has extended its thanks the schools that participated in the programs.
