PRESTONSBURG – The City of Prestonsburg is preparing to hold an Easter Egg Hunt at Archer Park. The event is free to the public and everyone is welcome.

The egg hunt will begin at 2 p.m. at Archer Park on Sunday. Participants in the egg hunt will have a chance to win an Easter basket. Over 6,000 toy- or candy-filled Easter eggs and prize eggs will be grabs.

In a unique twist, some eggs will be dropped from a helicopter. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures during the hunt.

Archer Park is located on University Drive in Prestonsburg – at the red lights past the Walmart turnoff.

“This will be a fun opportunity for the children,” said Karen Case, of Prestonsburg. “I know, with only one child, it is hard to make Easter special when they don’t have anyone to hide eggs with. Coming to an event and hunting eggs with the group and actually seeing the Easter Bunny makes the holiday more special.”
