IVELCell phone service in today’s society is as common place as regular household utilities. Appalachian Wireless, a local Floyd County based retail establishment has carved a niche in the area of hard to reach cell phone service of Eastern Kentucky. Headquartered at Ivel next to Davidson Memorial Garden’s, Appalachian Wireless recently held a grand Re-Opening of their Ivel retail location.

“This is our fourth store remodel and we felt with our Ivel location being located at our corporate office, we needed a ‘flagship’ design in place for it to really show it off,” said Ashley Wade Litteral, Marketing Manager.

The ideal behind the store is to have a customer centered focus. All devices are on display for people to touch. Purchasing a cell phone is a major investment for customers, an investment they generally have to live with for a couple of years.

“The open design allows interaction for customers to try devices they might not have been interested in otherwise,” shared Litteral. “We felt this was the best way to make sure customers get to try the devices out before they make their purchase.”

Appalachian Wireless hopes to implement the new design into all of their retail stores over the next few years.
