WHEELWRIGHT – The City of Wheelwright may be small, but it is big on community enthusiasm. On Sunday, Wheelwright hosted its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. Young and old alike came out to the Wheelwright Swimming Pool to meet the Easter Bunny. Mayor Dan “ Booty” Hall and the City Commission continue to make the children of wheelwright one of their top priorities.

The city purchased six bicycles to give away as prizes and Magistrate Mike Tackett donated two tricycles to be given away. The city also made six special Easter baskets that were given away as prizes. In addition, Commissioner Sam Little donated two baskets. Several other prizes such as money and candy were also given away. Each child was able to take a picture with the Easter Bunny and take home a special Easter Basket made by the City Commission.
