Last Man Standing set for April 16

PRESTONSBURG – The Armdrop Drags’ first event of the 2016 season will be held at Combs Airport on Saturday, April 16. The Armdrop Drags’ Test and Tune Last Man Standing winner takes all challenge is set for mid-April. This year’s opening race in the 2016 Armdrop Drags’ will feature prize money which has been doubled to $2,000.

Prestonsburg and Paintsville tourism are coming together to present the event, which is sponsored by Quality M. of Kenova, W.Va.

Gates will open at 9 a.m. TNT/Grudge Racing will begin at noon. The Last Man Standing event will begin at 3 p.m. Admission for adults is $10. Children 12 and under will be admitted free. Drivers can test and tune and grudge race for a chance to take home the $2,000 prize money. The entry fee is set at $50.

Rules are no tire prep, no open wheel, no full tube chassis and no center steer.

Inflatables will be available for the the children in attendance. Outhouse 1 and Outhouse 2 for the Great Hillbilly Challenge Race will be on display with a demonstration of the race.

Combs Airport is located at Combs Field Airport on Rt. 321 in Hager Hill. Parking is free. For more information, visit the Combs Airport Armdrop Drags’ Facebook page.
