LOUISVILLE – Brian Pugh, LUTCF, FSS, the newly appointed agency manager for Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance in Floyd County, has been named 2015 Agent of the Year for District Five. The award was presented during the company’s 61st annual sales conference, held in Louisville on Tuesday, March 29.
The District Five Agent of the Year award recognizes an insurance agent’s excellence in overall sales production, satisfactory loss-ratio, service to policyholders and an affirmative attitude. District Five is a 24-county region consisting of agencies in the following counties: Bath, Boyd, Breathitt, Carter, Elliott, Floyd, Greenup, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Perry, Pike, Powell, Rowan and Wolfe.
Pugh, a Floyd County native, earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Pikeville. He spent the past 14 years as a KFB Insurance agent before becoming agency manager in Floyd County earlier this month. A member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church, Pugh also coaches his son’s basketball team and assists with his soccer team. He and his wife, Misty, have two children.
Pugh heads the list of a well-established network of nearly 400 Kentucky Farm Bureau agents statewide. The company, founded in 1943, has offices in all of the Commonwealth’s 120 counties. Farm Bureau markets a wide variety of insurance lines, from homeowner’s and automobile coverage to life and health insurance and retirement planning.
