Brandon Sizemore Memorial 5K held

The Sizemore family celebrated the life of Brandon Sizemore.


PRESTONSBURG – The Brandon Sizemore Memorial 5K Run/Walk was held Saturday, March 23 to honor the memory of a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. Brandon Sizemo0re graduated from Allen Central High School in 2001 then joined the Army/National Guard and served for six years. The Allen Central High School graduate did one tour in Kosavo during his time in the military.

“Brandon was an amazing athletic man that loved sports and played baseball during high school and loved cheering on the Wildcats during every game,” said Bridgette Sizemore, wife. “Honoring his memory with a 5K I believe is the perfect tribute to the determination and spirit Brandon had.”

The results of the Brandon Sizemore Memorial 5K follow.

Male Overall – 1. Wes Hall, 21.10.6; 2. Ethan Vance, 21:10.8; 3. Anthony O., 22.22.3.

Female Overall: 1. Nikki Steffey, 24:44:8; 2. Susan Gearheart 27:56.2; 3. Michelle Cantrell 28:15.3.
