Conn freed from jail on $1.25M bond

LEXINGTON – Floyd County attorney Eric C. Conn was released from jail after posting a $1.25 million bond on Tuesday afternoon.

Conn was indicted and arraigned on federal fraud charges last week. He has remained in jail since Monday, April 4.

A longtime disability attorney, Conn is accused of filing fraudulent disability claims for hundreds of clients, with the majority hailing from Eastern Kentucky.

With his release, conditions stipulate Conn must remain in Eastern Kentucky and refrain from litigating disability cases. He also had to put up his Pikeville home as security.
